The Fair Use policy improves the general user experience of all internet users. It controls and moderates the usage of bandwidth by all customers. Therefore, it prevents the actions of internet hungry and heavy users from abusing normal users’ right to high-speed access to content.
During periods of peak use, the Fair Use Policy restricts the available connection speed of users identified as having made excessive use of bandwidth capacity, in favor of other users who have not yet used their fair share. We reset to zero all monitored bandwidth usage on a monthly cycle. This ensures an equal usage profile and equal access to the network and world wide web. Your data usage is unlimited and you will never be charged more for going over any data limit, as there is none. But we do reserve the right to regulate excessive data usage to protect the rights and experience of all our customers.
EXCESSIVE NETWORK USAGE
Certain infrastructure providers (particularly mobile networks), may under certain circumstances temporarily de-prioritize the speeds of subscribers in the top percentile of usage for the billing period, in order to maintain the integrity and stability of the network in the event that a subscribers Internet activities are so excessive that other subscribers are detrimentally affected. Our Internet may also be requested to give the subscriber(s) generating the excessive web traffic a written warning (by email or otherwise) and in extreme circumstances, Our Internet may be required to suspend or limit that subscriber’s services and/or shift the subscriber to an alternative plan more suited to the subscribers usage habits.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE POLICY IS BREACHED?
If any subscriber’s use of these services constitute a breach of this Policy, Our Internet or it’s underlying third-party infrastructure providers may, at their discretion, either utilize traffic shaping to temporarily de-prioritize the speed of the connection and/or give the subscriber notice to stop the unacceptable use(s) and/or suspend/limit that subscriber’s services (with or without further notice as is deemed appropriate). In cases where continual abuse is identified and attempts to resolve the situation amicably are unsuccessful (that is, “if all else fails”), Our Internet may be required to terminate that subscriber’s services (with or without further notice as is deemed appropriate).
Thank you for using the internet in a responsible manner.
